Perhaps you should read the actual abstract to the Lincoln- Joyce paper:-
"An RNA enzyme that catalyzes the RNA-templated joining of RNA was converted to a format whereby two enzymes catalyze each other's synthesis from a total of four oligonucleotide substrates. These cross-replicating RNA enzymes undergo self-sustained exponential amplification in the absence of proteins or other biological materials. "

Which of your misleading creationist sources implied that DNA and protein were used in the experiment?

Where did he say that DNA and Protein were used ? He is right, they only catalyzed a bond reaction nothing more. It´s ridiculous to call it self-replication.

I am still waiting for any explanation of how this relates to the RNA-only replication experiment, but I presume some creationist has mis-interpreted the experiment.

For each of the 4 initial RNA molecules the scientists started with, they ended up with many copies. It was not self-replication, because molecule A did not produce a copy of itself. Instead molecule A produced B and molecule B produced molecule A and they called it cross-replication.

All chemistry is either bond-forming reactions or bond-breaking reactions.
