If Adam and Eve didnt sin, there would be no death. But does this mean that Adam and Eve would have lived forever? And if so, wouldnt this have caused overpopulation if people never died?

I have always been amazed at this verse.

"And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Gen.3:22

So apparantly, this is why the Lord put them out of the garden. The tree of life would have made them live forever --in sin, rebellion, hatred and bitterness.

I'm not sure if Eve would have had children, but if so, maybe overpopulation was one of the things the Lord foresaw if they ate of the tree of life. What you think?

Maybe God would have taken measures to prevent overpopulation. I guess its better than people dying off from disease.

My first thought was "If Adam and Eve didn't sin"... then someone else would have. We are learning what needs to be learned to make the world God intended a reality.

Portillo, that is correct, if man had eaten from the Tree of Life (which represented Jesus Christ), man would have lived foreever (Gen. 3:22). We see this Tree back in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 22:2).

Not to worry about population. This is a big lie foisted on us. Truth: All the people who are now on Planet Earth can fit in the smallest county in Texas and everyone would have three square feet of standing room. And, contries that have the least land per capita usually have the highest standard of living, compared to African countries where there is much land and few people. Also liberals view people as consumers. Christian conservatives should view people as producers. And it is the economic system and freedom that determine the standard of living and not how much land. Example: The Swiss import a pound of steel from America and export a hundred Swiss watches.

God is not limited, he could have created more space for us if he needed too. So this is no big deal.

If man did not fall, the level of science and understanding we would posses now would be unimaginable. Over population would simply not be an issue because we would be exploring the universe that the LORD has made for us.

Just look at what man has accomplished in his short history. Man can only today live on average up to 60. What a challenge!
Such a short time to learn everything your predecessors have discovered and invented before you and then with the rest of your life
push science forward. Imagine how much the pre flood man could have done 900 years in a laboratory!

Oh, I dunno. Perhaps that's what the rest of the vast universe was originally intended to ultimately take care of...that overpopulation problem Posted Image
