Nephilum And Biology And A Plausible Explanation. Ideas?
Posted 16 November 2012 - 05:29 AM
I'm not interested in discussing the old argument of 'man' vs 'fallen angel'. For the purpose of my question I'm going to consider the Nephilum to be human and taller than ordinary men, women, and children, descended from common parents (think Goliath and his brothers).
What might be a reasonable, pre-flood explanation as to this anomaly? I'm writing a short-story and would like to create a plausible scenario.

Do you suppose it was simply hereditary? Food sources? Natural steroids?

I guess that whatever happened before the flood was possibly repeating itself after the flood.

1. Could you accept that there were giant men and women offspring?
2. Would the offspring have had souls like humans? Were they humans?
3. Could they have believed in God? When Christ died for the sins of the world did it extend to the offspring?
4. Could some of the offspring have been farmers? Artists? Tradesman?
Thanks for thinking about this one for me.

A counter argument: mythological evidence and of course the bible (genesis).
Question how would a hybrid of some angels and a human woman work?
We know how humans reproduce. The question would be conception. Can a spiritual being make a fleshly woman conceive?
And what would be the effect on the genetics?
