A couple of times in the last several months we have noticed that when accessing the forum a mySQL error appears. The first time I saw this I thought we had been hacked, but within minutes the site was back online. I checked with my server guy, and he said these problems can occur but should be rare. He said that reasons for this can range from a full server reboot, mysql process restart, mysql process crash, or a momentary system resource problem (a script eats up all of the available CPU for a short time causing connections to mysql to timeout). So the bottom line is if you see this, just retry access within a few minutes.
