My name is Ron,
I am a Christian musician and Biblical literalist (which gets me in a lot of trouble with my allegorical brethren). I have come to the conclusion that God is God and I am not. Which is to say I am not “I AM”! Accordingly, I have no right to change His Word to meet my needs, wants, whims, understandings or feelings. God doesn’t fit in a box, God created the box.
I believe there was another Biblical non-literalist who attempted to allegorize Gods word by saying “Did God really say not to eat that fruit?” From that point until this, our liberal friends have been attempting the same thing.

That's one of the reasons our forum is not as big as it could be. We don't compromise and a lot of Christians prefer compromise. So when they come here and hear the word not compromised, they don't like it and leave.
The way I look at it: What is worth having faith in, if that faith has to be comprmised? If I'm going to go to all the trouble to believe in God, have faith in God. Then I also need to be the example of what that faith is.
A person who cannot commit to either side is a enemy to both.
Like the man during the civil war who could not decide which side to fight on. He wore the pants of one side, and the coat to the other. When they found his body on the battle field. He had been shot by both side (shot in the back and front). Neither side could trust him.
That's not the way we need to look wenwe stand before God.

Most of those who run this board are 100 % Biblical literalist. So you in the same company of friends here.

I agree. If the Bible weren't to be taken literally, it wouldn’t be so serious. Even Jesus made it plain when He was speaking allegorically (and why He was doing so).

AND If there are any other Christian musicians (or lyricists) here, I'd be interested in collaborating in writing and/or playing!
God Bless

If you all don't mind, I'll post up some more "Apologetic" tunes, and "Worship" tunes as time permits.

Since there have been so many posts to the "welcome thread", I went back and revisited mine. Sort of a trip down memory lane!

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" Genesis 3:1-4
The first thing Satan did was question what God said.

Haha, you had the best opening post that I have seen so far. Also, note the verses below:
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
