has His prayer been heard as it must - the answer to this question must be the Romans - look round and see for yourself that Rome is the centre of Catholicism - btw see and understand that Christ's other prayer "that they may be one" is followed by "as we are one".The unity is found in creation and creationism for Father and Son are as one in creation as are many Christians - twinc

The Romans carried out the crucifixion but that's about it. The Jews were given an option, Jesus or Barabbas and they choose Jesus.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Was Jesus asking the Father to forgive Rome for carrying out the crucifixion, or was He referring to the Jews who had Him crucified?

Of course, blaming any group of people for the crucifixion of Christ is not what Jesus had in mind. Not only did He pray for forgiveness for those involved but he also said this.

Matthew 20:28 "the Son of man came... to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many."

Why is this question even being asked??? Simply by reading the Bible we can see that all were involved, the Jews, and the Romans.

It was necessary so that we all could be saved.
