1) It makes a debate become more personal.
2) It can derail a debate into that direction of becoming to personal
3) It makes the other person take offense.
etc....
It is up to the Mods and Admins here to determine if a rule has been broken not the members. We have leeway on certain rules for certain reasons. And there are degrees of how a rule can be broken and sometimes we have to determine if that degree is enough to warrant action.
So if you think a rule is being broken, use the report button. or PM one of us. Don't go the route that may get you into trouble as well. Because if a war of words breaks out between 2 members, we have to determine what started it. And if a member oversteps their bounds, and that is what starts it, then we have to take action and 2 members end up getting into trouble instead of one.
I going to see if Fred will post this in the regular rules because it's happening more and more often.

Gotcha Ikester.Every so often a member here will post that another member is breaking a rule. This causes problems that we mods and admins have to take care of.
