I've been contacted by a guy on Youtube who has wanted to present a united front against the critics of Christianity. Yep thats all well and good, I was asked if I knew about the crusades, I stated that it was a move of power by papal edict to try and gain more land, however in discussions this person feels that the crusades are justified, since apparantly they tried to convert Christians, (yet Christians do the same thing?), one of the videos given in support of this was as follows...

I had never heard of this movement however whilst I'm no Biblical scholar I would be inclined to say that this propaganda goes against Jesus' teachings in the Bible. Here is one article about revenge.

Considering that to my knowledge no-one here has ever said anything similar to any of what this guy talks about I assume that this is not mainstream belief.
