    Theistic Critiques Of Atheism

Atheists; Do We Have A Right To Believe In God?

This has gone way off topic. Evolution has nothing to do with the existence of gods. For all an evolutionist may know if the Christian God doesn't exist(Impossible proposition by the way.) then it would not rule out a general theistic god or even polytheism or deism.

    Things Evolution Can't Evolve?

Some interesting points have been made in this thread. When I have the time I might come back and touch on some of them.

    Atheism Experiment

Cameron is gone due to his insistent equivocation of the word atheism.
  6. Rico, I used the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy for my definitions as well as educational sources for the definition of science. I also had an educational source define what a worldview and what logic is. Did you not see it? I'm not looking for advice or feedback as it was a very one sided debate according to everyone who reviewed it.
  7. This is the written debate that I had with Reverend Solomon Seagal. The topic was "Which Worldview is the Most Coherent? Atheism or Christianity?" www.answersforhope.com/jason-petersenme-vs-solomon-seagal/

    Macroevolution Challenge

I can give good reasons as to why unicorns don't exist. For starters, Unicorns are physical constructs and no one has witnessed a unicorn. The closest thing to the unicorn that most of us would be aware of is that popular pony show on tv. All you have to do to show that a concept or being does not exist you have to give good reasons to believe that it does not exist. We can give good reasons to think that Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, Thor, Zeus, etc. do not exist but despite the many years of atheism atheists still can not give any good arguments against God's existence whereas Christians have many solid arguments for the existence of God. Your worldview and your insistence on suppressing the truth is the only thing that causes you to deny that God exists. Atheism is a completely emotional position, it is not a rational one. Really comparing unicorns to God is a horrible and logically incoherent analogy considering how different a unicorn's properties are from God's.

Too much whining. We don't like whining. Whining is bad.(Have I made myself clear?) All whiners have been banned. Please carry on.(Without the whining.)

    League Of "reason"

Now that I've read this thread, I have seen that there is little use of this topic. It seems that of the members of this agree that the LOR doesn't have much to offer to creationists, but I can't blame the admin/moderator coming here to defend the forum he has worked on. It's time to close this thread.

Contradictions In The Bible? List And Discuss

^^This objection could of easily been answered with a google search. http://www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=6&article=932 First hit by the way. Apparently since the gentleman didn't stumble across the answer he didn't look hard enough, probably because he didn't want answers.

Atheists: Is Murder Acceptable With You?

This guy's solution to his problem was to say different things out of both sides of his mouth. It really puts into perspective how dishonest these people are.

No, you are equivocating societal norms with moral values. You even invoke "The Problem of Evil" in your discussion with Tirian that assumes an objective moral standard. There is no way that you can consistently live by your world view, it is thereby self contradictory and falsified. We are not arguing the origin of moral values, what we are arguing are whether or not objective moral values exist. You already gave self contradictory answers regarding this topic. To draw any conclusion based on the origin of behavioral norms is a logical fallacy known as the genetic fallacy. Since you can't defend subjective values anymore, you instead to try to appeal to what you conceive to be origins. Any intro to logic student would of been able to immediately identify this fallacy. People "Influencing" your morals, or more accurately, how you behave does not have any bearing on whether or not objective moral values exist. Whether or not you adhere to these moral values does not determine whether or not they are objective. Don't get social behavior confused with morals.(That's quite ironic considering the first part of your post.)What is the evidence of objective moral values? The fact that in order to make your argument you had to appeal to objective moral values in the first place by invoking the problem of evil. The presence of these binding moral values are so obvious that even you appealed to them when even you denied them. You also alluded this criticism, likely because you knew it was a "knock down argument" against your contentions.

Why did you answer a question for atheists then? Did you not read the title? Methinks you are an atheist that is just trying to appear more neutral by poising as an "agnostic" on our page. This smells very fishy to me. Remember when you asked what I was going to do if you continued with these antics? I just gave you the answer to your question. I hope I was very clear. Bye-bye!
