Holloween/spiritual Godly Pdf

Got an email that had links to pamphlets and thought about sending out an email to educate people about God, or to stay away from the occult... Do you have any Christ glorifying links, facts or suggestions? Here's a website I found that give's Christ centered answers to some questions: http://www.gotquestions.org/ghosts-hauntings.html

and another link, The Bible and Halloween: http://www.christianaction.org.za/articles...ndhalloween.htm

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 – 22 KJV

Excellent scripture for the subject of Halloween and good timing on your part for such a post. My daughter thinks that the haunted town at our museum looks fun. :P

The article on ghosts was well done. I would have included the story of King Saul visiting a medium in order to talk to Samuel. It was obviously not Samuel.

I would have also included Psalms 146:4. I also have a different belief about heaven and hell, but no need to get into that in this thread.

Very good stuff!!! I believe they should all be passed out/emailed. I will most likely be at home, trying to protect my house from being rolled. Of course Rolling Yards in my area is not a Halloween thing, but more like Paint-Ball... or some other community sport. If you got rolled, don't get mad, get glad™... because you'll need it.

My brother was born on oct. 31. I used to make fun of him when we were kids. I'd say: Were you the trick, or the treat? Of course now I would never say that.

Halloween has it's roots from the Old Testament, though it's not Christian of course. There are some few scant truths in it though.

These links are very interesting. They show the universal impact of what happened in Palestine, as Genesis records. The oral tradition of the Druids, and archaeology in the UK, show the impact of the Genesis testimony.

I would like to point this out. This is why God constantly warned the Israelites to "do according to all that is commanded"..."and ye shall teach your children all..." the law. Because we see the effects of mixture in the many religions of the world--the druids are a good example.

The Bible shows that man has always deivated from God, starting with Cain, then Lamech, and Nimrod. Even in the wilderness, the people of God wanted to go back to Egypt, instead of doing things God's way. And in the period of the Judges, every man "did what was right in his own eyes."

That's why God always had to send prophets--to remind and redirect the people!

One other point. Many people in this generation are foolish to listen to these educated morons, who don't acknowledge the history of civilization.

I was curious how everyone feels about having a "harvest party" or something similar as an alternative?
